Many people are always wondering as to what causes wind without realizing the real causes are simple and mundane. Most of the common causes of wind are the eating habits of people which can be easily rectified. One of the primary cause of wind is the habit of eating and swallowing food rapidly without chewing sufficiently. This results in trapped air entering the digestive system and subsequently making one burp for expulsion of the same. Likewise consumption or aerated drinks also results in accumulation of wind in the system. This air remains trapped inside the stomach creating wind. Lastly there are also certain health conditions which may lead to wind creation. Irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance and constipation are some of such ailments which may cause wind.
