Writer, critic, & poet Iris Violeta Colon-Torres and her most recent publication, La Rosa de Cristal, is a touching collection of poems dedicated to her late mother. Born in Puerto Rico, Colon-Torres resides in Philadelphia and devotes her forces to the plight and protection of domestic abuse victims, especially women & children. Taller Puertorriqueño, one of the plentiful cultural hubs en el Barrio de North Philadelphia, presents the opportunity to get to know the author herself.

The Recording Academy Philadelphia Chapter presents The Official Philadelphia Grammy Telecast Viewing Party,
‘Celebrating Music’s Biggest Night’. This is the Academy’s 52nd Annual Grammy celebration and we, along with other Philly-based music tastemakers & industry honchos are gonna be in the house munching on the complimentary super buffet, cheering on our fave nominees & artists. (GO Aterciopelados & Los Fabulosos Cadillacs!)
This celebration is one of the lovely perks of NARAS membership, so consider joining!
