Casa de Venezuela Delaware Valley has the pleasure to invite visual artists currently
residing in the Delaware Valley area to participate in the 2009 exhibition
Diálogo 365

Theme
This exhibition will seek to explore a visual dialogue that challenges our pre-established
concepts of origin, belonging, migration, displacement, transformation, territory and
boundaries; aiming to create a space for further thought on social and cultural
understanding about Latin America.
Eligibility:
-
U.S. Latino, Latin American and Caribbean multidisciplinary visual artists (including
Spanish, Portuguese, French, Creole and English speaking artists from Latin America)
currently residing in the Delaware Valley area.

Visual artists working in the following media: painting, drawing, works on paper,
sculpture, photography, textile, video/performance installation, graphic design, and
mixed media.

Ability to participate in two public programs associated with this exhibit

10 digital images in JPG format (resolution of 300 dpi) with title, year, medium,
and size

If submitting videos, send a DVD (AVI or MPEG formats) with a maximum file
size of 1GB, with title, year, duration and a small synopsis of the work
Coordinator/Curator
Andreina Castillo is the Program Coordinator for the Department of External Affairs at the
Philadelphia Museum of Art. She was co-curator of the Casa de Venezuela exhibition
Memorias: a group exhibition of Latino and Latin American artists from the Delaware
Valley
at Artesano Gallery in Manayunk, with an accompanying catalog. She is the current
Cultural Affairs Secretary for Casa de Venezuela Delaware Valley.
The works will be selected by the Curator in conjunction with a small selection committee
of professionals in the artistic field
